Bird Calls Xeno is a free application that allows users to connect to Xeno-Canto in order to search, listen, and download bird calls for offline playback. The application has been thoughtfully designed by bird enthusiasts, catering to the needs of fellow birders.

 <li>Search functionality by both English and scientific names is available. Users can search not only by common English names but also by scientific names. As you start typing the genus name, such as Phylloscopus, the app will begin displaying results from that specific category.</li>
 
 <li>Bird calls are sorted based on ratings. All bird calls are categorized by ratings, ensuring that top-rated calls are prioritized for playback. This feature allows users to quickly access high-quality calls without sifting through the entire list.</li>
 
 <li>Enhanced search filters have been implemented. Users now have the ability to filter searches based on country, rating, and type when looking for a specific bird call. This feature proves invaluable when visiting different countries and wanting to listen only to calls recorded in that particular location.</li>
 
 <li>Offline functionality is available. The option to download individual calls is provided, with the downloaded calls accessible under the offline section in the menu. A forthcoming update will introduce a direct icon for Offline calls in the top menu for easier access.</li>

The Bird Calls Xeno application is provided at no cost and is intended to remain free indefinitely or until unforeseen circumstances arise. Note that Bird Calls Xeno is independent of Xeno-Canto and is not the official application for the platform. This independent app serves as a connection to Xeno-Canto, the world's largest open-source database for bird calls, facilitating seamless searching, playback, and offline downloading of bird sounds.
